Run a casting call

Casting is for studio owners who need to pull talent for a gig, commercial, or project — without a messy group chat with the whole roster.

1. 1

   Build your internal roster

   Dashboard → Talent / Professionals. Add headshots, dance styles, and availability flags for teachers on your team (admin-only fields).

   Create a casting

   Dashboard → Casting → New. Name the gig (e.g. “Nike commercial – July”), pick required styles, and set a close date.

   Filter & shortlist

   Filter by style and availability, then add shortlisted dancers. They’re not booked automatically — this opens a conversation channel.

4. 4

   Activate the channel

   When you activate, Dans101 creates a private channel (e.g. gig-nike-july) and notifies shortlisted hosts via push. Coordination happens in chat; calendar locking comes later.

5. 5

   Close when done

   Mark the casting closed when you’ve picked your team. The channel freezes but history stays for your records.
