Set up team & community chat

Community turns Dans101 from a booking tool into a home for your crew. Owners get channel management; students see the channels they’re allowed to join after they book with you.

  1. 1

    Sign in as owner

Use your studio subdomain login (e.g. pulse-crew.dans101.com/login) with the email you registered. Magic link only — no password for hosts.

    Find your login URL
  2. 2

    Open Community in the dashboard

Dashboard → Community. Your tenant gets default channels: #Announcements (you post, students read), #General (everyone who booked), #Staff-Only (teachers only).

  3. 3

    Optional: connect Slack

If your team already lives in Slack, connect your workspace under Dashboard → Slack. Bind channels so announcements can cross-post.

  4. 4

    Per-class channels (automatic)

When students book a session, they can access session-scoped chat and recaps. After class + 48h, active channels archive into the student’s class history.

  5. 5

    Post your first announcement

Welcome new bookers, share schedule changes, or drop recap links. Students get push notifications when you enable them on mobile.
